SINGLE REVIEW | BLACK DOVE | LET YOU DOWN

Rising from the West-coast of Scotland, Black Dove have exploded onto the scene yet again with their catchy and vibrant new single, Let You Down.

Let You Down is one to get you moving but also provides that balance which music lovers can sit down to and listen with ease during isolation. The bassist deserves tremendous praise due to the stunning harmony presented in the Let You Down which really brings the song together. However, this is not taking anything away from the rest of the band as they compliment each other brilliantly during the tune.

The whole vibe to the single gives off that familiar Catfish and the Bottlemen theme, but Black Dove have definitely made sure they’ve left their own unique sound. A raw but indie sound, which fits well within the growing Scottish Music Scene at the moment.

The single didn’t come on it’s own. The West-coast indie rockers also released a B side, Whenever You Are. This tune is an acoustic masterpiece and again provides you will a cool, calm and soothing listen.

Produced by no other than 7WestMusic and Johnny Madden from Baby Strange, it is great to see another young promising Scottish band team up with the record label. Black Dove join the likes of Gerry Cinnamon, The Dunts, Rascalton and many more top Scottish artists to record with 7WestMusic.

Black Dove play a sold-out show at the iconic King Tuts on the 4th of September supporting Luke La Vope which promises to be an unbelievable night.
