ALBUM REVIEW | IDIOGRAM | REUNION OF BROKEN PARTS

Idiogram are a rock and electronic style band who have released their debut album “Reunion of Broken Parts” on the 22nd of March 2025.

Idiogram are a Scottish band which consists of four members, Lesely Crawford on piano and keys, Ali Gillies on Bass, Ali Kilpatrick on guitar and Keith Kirkwood on drums.

“Reunion of Broken Parts” is an instrument based album with seven tracks and has an electronic twist to their rock approach. Their album opens with “Hyperaccumulator” which starts with a heavy drumbeat and is followed by a soft synth melody behind the beat which makes the track enjoyable to listen to because there is so more much to listen out for than a usual song.

Another memorable track from the album is “chromosphere/tidal disruption” which includes a recording that feels like you are on a spaceship followed by a piano melody. This track has a spacey vibe to it and sounds great when you listen with headphones in and makes you appreciate the use of different instruments.

Idiogram is definitely a band to look out for especially with their unique and different approach with their music.
