We are excited to hear about a very special announcement and celebrate alongside the iconic Glasgow venue King Tut’sWah Wah Hut! They have announced the lineup for the 14th annual New Year’s Revolution Festival, which will run from January 2nd to 25th, 2025.
This year, the festival will feature over 60 up-and-coming Scottish musicians, kicking off King Tut’s 35th-anniversary celebrations – and we cannot wait to celebrate and can confirm this lineup is definitely one to mark this special occasion!
Past New Year’s Revolution festivals have launched artists like Fatherson, Luke La Volpe, and Walt Disco, and this year promises more exciting new talent. Highlights include ili, who recently earned BBC Introducing’s “Track of the Week,” indie rockers Fright Years, and alt-folk group Lacuna.

What we love about this is it allows us to Discover New Scottish Artists…we’re all about Discovery Music here!
And of course, being able to support the local music scene, it will be hosted in one of the best venues in Glasgow! King Tut’s has been a key venue in Scotland’s live music scene for 35 years, helping to launch acts like Oasis, Florence + The Machine, and The 1975. And of course it’s not only a favourite gig venue for fans due to the intimacy and iconic history, but it is a very much loved Glaswegian hotspot for many locals and folks further afield – a monumental key place in one of the greatest Scottish cities!
Meg Denholm, Booker of King Tut’s New Year’s Revolution, said: “We’re excited to showcase such a diverse range of emerging talent this year, with a strong focus on female-identifying artists. This festival is the perfect way to celebrate 35 years of King Tut’s and kick off the new year.”
